Had a great 3rd and 4th of July. Went to the Taste on the 3rd, witnessed something resembling a riot, then watched fireworks. On the 4th, I got off work, and went out to La Cantina with Sean, Jeanette, and Robyn and got waaaasted. We had several drinks at La Cantina, then went over to Tantrum, and then Robyn and I went to Wabash Tap for a Jameson shot...ridic.

Orientation started this week! It's been a very interesting and rewarding experience. I found out today that I'm the OL MVP for this week! That means I get extra privileges and get to do extra stuff next week, like MC some of the programs. I'm quite happy with myself now =) I've been working really hard.

Other than that...not too much to update. Robyn returned to NY, and Jeanette to Texas. I've been working 14 hour days, and feel very accomplished.

Pride was wonderful. Someone got stuck underneath a float and an ambulance had to come in, so the parade was stalled for like 45 minutes. It rained a bit, but it was a great time. The thing about Pride that always gets me is just how decadent it is...it really was like a circus.

Jeanette is here...oh my. that girl is crazy :P

I called like 100 incoming freshmen today about coming to orientation and what to bring....long day :P and then definitely went to Catch 35 when I didn't have to work. I'm retarded, but whatev.

The rest of my summer is going to be so busy...I don't know how I'll deal.

This past week...

-Birthday was nice. apparently got drunk and offended a few people, my bad. don't remember half the night, but remember having a wonderful time. took like 4 shots at Tantrum
-Went to the south side for a high ropes course on the first day of orientation.
-Have had 8 hour orientation training every day this week
-Am ready for Robyn's birthday tonight, and Pride on Sunday!!!

that's about it. Orientation is gonna rock, and looks to be much more fun than at Wooster

I'm almost 22....this is strange. I'm not ready for my mid twenties.

Work is going well. I may be doing some manager-in-training stuff sometime this summer actually, which is awesome.
My coworkers are all fun, and one of the new servers has caught my eye...

not much to update...work is going well, it's been nice having Robyn home. Chie left on Sunday for home for 2 months, which is very sad. This'll be the longest I haven't seen her since I met her...strange.

Had drinks with my coworker tonight...

We've been flirty since I started working, and today I had to give out the cut-slips to the servers (to let them know they're done with tables, and what they have to do at the end of their shift). He came up to me later saying, "you didn't do this right." I ask what he means, and he replies that I didn't put my phone number down on it. I'm not sure if he's kidding or not, but write it down anyway. He later tells me that he wasn't kidding, and I shouldn't think he was, so I slyly handed him the paper with my number, and he returns it with his =)
He invited me out for drinks after, and I met him at Cocktail, afterwards Sidetrack.
It was a great time. He's older than I thought, like early/mid 30's (not an issue for me), has 2 masters degrees (one in drama, one in english), has taught college, graduated from Columbia, and is pretty much amazing. We just conversed for a few hours over drinks and it was amazing.

Let's hope this leads to good things =)

I'm going to miss my improv class so much =(
Posen gave us all this great inspirational speech today, and then took us all out to lunch at Yolk.
We had a great time.

I'm in the midst of training for my new job. rough stuff, but whatev. I have to only wear black and grey, and a long sleeve button down, collared shirt with a tie.

I don't know if I'm going to survive this week :/
